Spots are forecast at the summit height. You can paste coordinates too, like 52.967, −6.464.
Every hour gets a rating from the forecast at your spot's height: good, fair, poor or no go. A walk is only as good as its worst hour. The best window is the stretch of daylight, of your walk length, with the best rating, finishing by sunset.
Wind on the tops is estimated from the forecast wind around 750 m up, because exposed summits catch far more wind than the valley forecast. Gusts are scaled from that. Spots under 250 m use the normal 10 m wind.
Feels like includes wind chill from that summit wind. Freezing level below the top means ice or snow is possible. Low cloud over 80% means the tops are likely in cloud.
This is a planning aid, not a mountain forecast. Check Met Éireann warnings, tell someone your route, and look at the sky on the day.
